Features

The Parker MIDIGAS Trio, model MIDIGAS4NCBLA, is a pressure swing adsorption (PSA) nitrogen generator that produces nitrogen from a standard compressed-air supply. It provides a continuous on-demand gas source and offers a safe, reliable, and cost-effective alternative to high-pressure cylinders, liquid nitrogen vessels, and bulk gas storage. Depending on the selected flow rate, the MIDIGAS4 can deliver nitrogen with an equivalent purity of approximately 95% to 99.999%, making it suitable for laboratory installations, including LC/MS applications requiring a stable nitrogen supply.

Key Features

  • Produces nitrogen from a standard compressed-air supply
  • PSA separation using carbon molecular sieve technology
  • Continuous on-demand nitrogen production
  • Adjustable balance between nitrogen purity and flow rate
  • Equivalent nitrogen purity from approximately 95% to 99.999%
  • Built-in oxygen analyzer for continuous purity monitoring
  • Automatic economy mode
  • Digital and analog outputs for remote monitoring
  • Integrated alarm and diagnostic functions
  • Modular design supporting multi-bank installations
  • Capacity expansion and full standby configurations available
  • Compact construction with low routine maintenance requirements
  • Carbon molecular sieve service life exceeding ten years when maintained according to Parker recommendations

Technical Specifications

Nitrogen Flow by Purity

Operating Benefits

  • Eliminates routine handling of high-pressure nitrogen cylinders
  • Reduces the risk of gas-supply interruption
  • Minimizes delivery administration and logistics
  • Automatic economy mode reduces energy and compressed-air consumption
  • Continuous oxygen monitoring helps maintain the selected gas purity
  • Multi-bank installation supports capacity expansion or standby operation
  • Modular architecture allows the system to be upgraded as nitrogen demand increases

Typical Applications

  • Laboratory nitrogen supply
  • LC/MS and other mass spectrometry applications
  • Pharmaceutical and chemical laboratories
  • Food packaging and blanketing
  • Controlled atmospheres for electronics manufacturing
  • Electronics soldering
  • Fire and explosion prevention through oxygen reduction
