Features

Universal pump now with extended power range

The Agilent 1260 Infinity quaternary pump now comes with an extended pressure range up to 400 bar. This allows the use of columns with smaller particle sizes and results in higher resolution or faster separations. The design ensures a truly pulseless and stable solvent flow thanks to two pistons in series, which are precisely controlled by servo motors. Variable stroke volume allows pulse-free solvent delivery and efficient mixing. The Agilent 1260 Infinity quaternary pump provides the ultimate flexibility in automated solvent mixing and is recommended for a wide range of research, routine and method development applications.

Features

  • Maximum pressure of 400 bar using smaller particle size columns for higher resolution and faster separations.
  • This performance range allows the use of longer columns and/or more viscous solvents as an alternative to acetonitrile.
  • The wide flow rate range of up to 10 ml/min perfectly supports standard to semi-preparative applications. Perfect choice for 4.6 and 3.0 mm diameter columns.
  • Speeds up method development, mobile phase preparation and HPLC system flushing by offering convenient access to up to four solvents for isocratic or gradient analysis.
  • Easy, fast and safe method transfer from HPLC to sub-2micron columns.
  • New degasser technology integrated in the pump.
  • Application focus: Routine environmental and food applications as well as method development in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Minimal maintenance and lower operating costs through the use of robust materials such as stainless steel, titanium, gold, ruby, sapphire, ceramic, PEEK and PTFE. Optional active seal washing option for mobile phase with high salt content - to prevent corrosion.

Specifications Agilent 1260 Infinity Quaternary Pump version VL (G1311C)

  • Hydraulic System - Two piston series pump with variable displacement actuator.
  • Adjustable flow range - Set 0.001 - 10 ml/min, in increments of 0.001 ml/min.
  • Flow range - 0.2 - 10.0 ml/min
  • Flow Accuracy - ≤ 0.07% RSD or ≤ 0.02 min SD, whichever is greater; based on retention time at constant room temperature.
  • Flow accuracy - ± 1 % or 10 μL/min, whichever is greater; pumping degassed water at 10 MPa (100 bar).
  • Operating Pressure Range - Operating range up to 40 MPa (400 bar, 5880 psi) up to 5 mL/min; Operating range up to 20 MPa (200 bar, 2950 psi) up to 10 mL/min
  • Pressure Pulsation - < 2% amplitude (typically < 1.3%) or < 0.3 MPa (3 bar), whichever is greater, at 1 ml/min of isopropanol, at all pressures > 1 MPa (10 bar, 147 psi).
  • Compressibility Compensation - User selectable based on compressibility of the mobile phase.
  • Recommended pH range - 1.0 - 12.5, solvents with pH < 2.3 should not contain acids that attack stainless steel.
  • Gradient Formation - Low pressure quaternary mixing/gradient option using a high speed proportional valve.
  • Delay volume (system volume) - 600 - 900 μl, dependent on back pressure; measured with water at 1 ml/min (water/caffeine tracer).
  • Composition range - 0-95% or 5-100%, user selectable.
  • Composition Accuracy - < 0,2 % RSD or < 0,04 min SD, whichever is greater, at 1 ml/min; based on retention time at constant room temperature.
  • Integrated degasser unit - Number of channels: 4; Internal volume per channel: 1.5 mL; Solvent contact materials: TFE/PDD copolymer, FEP, PEEK, PPS.
  • Control - Agilent software (e.g. ChemStation, EZChrom, OpenLab, MassHunter).
  • Manual control - Agilent Instant Pilot
  • Communications - Control Network (CAN), RS-232C, APG Remote: ready, start, stop and shutdown signals, optional LAN.
  • Safety and Maintenance - Extensive diagnostics, fault detection and display via Agilent LabAdvisor, leak detection, safe leak handling, leak output signal for pump shutdown. Low voltage in key maintenance areas.
  • GLP feature - Early Maintenance Feedback (EMF) to continuously monitor instrument usage for seal wear and mobile phase pumped volume with predefined and user configurable limits and reports. Electronic maintenance and error logs.
  • Chassis Material - All materials are recyclable.
