25th European Meeting on Environmental Chemistry (EMEC25)

I am delighted to invite you to the 25th European Meeting on Environmental Chemistry (EMEC25) that will take place in Chania, Crete from 23rd to 25th November 2025. The event is recognized by EuChemS and supported by EuChemS-DAC Sample Preparation Study Group and Network.

The EMEC events are organized on an annual basis on behalf of the Association of Chemistry and the Environment (ACE). This year, as we celebrate the 25th anniversary of ACE, EMEC25 will continue its tradition of bringing together scientists, researchers, and industry professionals to share and discuss the latest advancements in environmental chemistry. This year’s meeting will focus on advancing sustainable solutions, addressing environmental challenges, and exploring the latest breakthroughs in environmental science and technology. With a diverse program of invited lectures, oral presentations, interactive sessions, and poster exhibitions, EMEC25 aims to spark meaningful dialogue, promote innovative research, and drive impactful solutions for a sustainable future.

The conference venue, located in the heart of the Venetian port in Chania surrounded by monuments dating back to 5000 BC, provides the perfect setting for us to interact, collaborate and exchange ideas. The location is ideal for an unforgettable trip, and we are excited to put together a truly outstanding programme.

So, reach out to us, connect with us, and come at EMEC25.

Participation fee
  • The participation fee is 10 euros and includes: workshop participation, plus lunch and beverages during the social session. Certificates of attendance will be distributed after the event.

Venue

The conference venue is the Mikis Theodorakis Theater Hall, named after the great Cretan composer Mikis Theodorakis. This stone building was built in 1912 during the presidency of El. Venizelos, and originally housed the Customs House in the Venetian harbour of Chania. For that reason, the building was widely known as the “Old Customs House”. Recently, it has been renovated and is currently operating as a cultural and convention center. In October 2017, the official opening of the Mikis Theodorakis Theatre took place, in the presence of the great composer.

Address: Akti Enoseos & Georgios Katechakis Square, Chania-Crete
