Field Service Specialist

We are the Canadian division of world-renowned Metrohm AG (Herisau, Switzerland), an industry leader in laboratory instruments and accessories for analytical testing/research. We are looking for a Field Service Specialist to join our Service team. This scientifically oriented position is your chance to be a part of a dynamic team and make an immediate impact!

Do you enjoy travelling to meeting scientists and solve customer problems? Do you excel at working with scientific instruments and supporting scientific applications?

As a successful Metrohm Field Service Specialist you will apply your instrument /chemistry knowledge and technical experience to solve customer’s instrumentation requirements, support installations and ensure optimal system performance.

The on-site services will include installations, method development, validation, and training, simple-to-complex repairs, preventive maintenance, certification, and more.

You will get to travel to a diverse group of labs, meet different people and see various instrument applications at work. You will have the resources to support the client face to face, via phone, email, and Teams. The ability to prioritize a busy schedule over a large territory is essential; positive customer relations, as well as good collaboration with local colleagues and customer support, ensure sure-fire success in this role. Field travel will be required.

Ideal Experience and Education:

  • BSc in Chemistry (or closely related degree). 2 years of chemical laboratory analysis and hands-on repair experience with scientific equipment. cGMP and IQOQ experience is an asset.

Additional requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license, stable credit history and successful drug screening. Regional travel requirement will be assigned by manager. Proficiency to communicate in French is an asset.
