Proteomics LC-MS operator

OMICS Mass Spectrometry Core Facility, Faculty of Science, Charles University, located at the BIOCEV center, is looking for the proteomics LC-MS operator.

Our laboratory is one of the best equipped laboratories in the Czech Republic and provides proteomic measurements for a number of academic and private institutions in the Czech Republic and abroad. During our existence, our data were published in more than 150 scientific papers.

The operator helps users with experiment planning, ensures the progress of sample preparation, LC-MS analysis, evaluates the data and hands it over to the user. He is also responsible for the operation and maintenance of LC-MS systems.

We will introduce you to the entire process of proteomic measurement and provide you with opportunity for further development of your abilities. The position is also suitable for graduates.

Key responsibilities

  • Proteomic LC-MS analysis – data acquistion, evaluation and submission

  • Consultation of experimental design with users of the service laboratory, professional support of users in the field of proteomics

  • Instrument maintenance and development of new methods

  • Participation in the daily running of the laboratory

Requirements

  • MSc or PhD in science – analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biology

  • Practical experience with liquid chromatography is an advantage

  • Experience with mass spectrometry and proteomics is an advantage

  • Independent and responsible approach, diligence, good communication and organizational skills
