Lab Application Scientist, Liquid Chromatography and Sample Preparation (Bannockburn, IL)
Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Lab Support/Demo Scientist with a background in liquid chromatography and sample preparation to join our world-class team in Bannockburn, IL. You will play a crucial part in accelerating research and driving technological innovation.
What will you do
- Collaborate closely with the Applied Markets Application support team to offer impeccable laboratory support and conduct demonstrations of our advanced technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine customer needs and successfully implement solutions
- Conduct experiments and analyze data to support the development of new products and applications
- Offer technical guidance and training to customers and internal team members.
- Contribute to the preparation of scientific publications and presentations
How will you get here
- 5+ years of related experience with a Master’s degree is required or 2+ years of related experience with a PhD is preferred.
- Proven experience in operating liquid chromatography instrumentation and analyzing complex separation problems
- Strong knowledge of small molecule sample preparation techniques and expertise in workflow implementation
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
