Manufacturing Scientist (Polymer chemistry)
As a Manufacturing Scientist, you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to the development and optimization of organic resin-based chromatographic consumables and their components. You will play a vital role within our Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Research Center, owning designated research and development project components.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to resin synthesis, modification, evaluation, and column packing steps.
- Define well-characterized, robust, and reproducible processes within operational ranges.
- Analyze and interpret technological and scientific content.
- Plan and conduct experiments to determine critical quality attributes and operational ranges.
- Interpret and present data to project team members.
- Document, track, and communicate experimental plans, test results, and analysis.
- Collaborate with project managers, operations, and development teams.
- Participate in product/process design specification reviews and contribute to product documentation.
- Identify deviations from standards and propose modifications for conformity.
- Perform other assigned duties as required.
Job Requirements
Education
- MS/PhD degree in science (polymer, synthetic organic or inorganic chemistry), engineering, or equivalent
Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in synthetic organic, inorganic, or polymer chemistry within a research or industry setting.
- Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of synthesis methods, reaction mechanisms, kinetics, and thermodynamics.
- Proficiency in using molecular and physical chemistry-based tools for reaction product characterization.
- Theoretical knowledge of IC and/or HPLC fundamentals is advantageous.
- Ability to provide guidance and mentorship to junior scientists.
- Highly self-motivated with excellent project management skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary, matrix-managed environment.
- Ability to present findings in public forums.
- Strong English language skills.
- Willingness to travel globally, approximately 10-15% annually.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range estimated for this position based in Lithuania is €31 500,00–€47 250,00.
