The Thermo Fisher Scientific site in Naarden develops and produces innovative affinity resins used in cGMP manufacturing by our customers. The Quality Control unit is responsible for the development and qualification of analytical methods, analysis of intermediate and final product samples and samples from process development.
QC Technician II
The QC Technician II performs daily testing of products to ensure they meet our customer’s needs following established methods and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
We are seeking a self-motivated individual with strong communication and operational skills to perform analysis as defined in SOPs with limited supervision or guidance. Candidate is able to work independently, as well as collaborate in a team.
What will you do
- Execution of analyses (HPLC / UPLC (SEC, Affinity, RP), spectrophotometry, microbiology, electrophoresis, pH, conductivity, ELISA) on samples from production and on finished products
- Perform stability studies according the stability protocols
- Support in validation of analytical methods according to a protocol
- Generation and revision of SOPs
- Review of analytical data
- Demonstrate judgment, tact and diplomacy; in dealing with internal and external customers.
How will you get here
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree (HLO/HBO) (analytical, biochemistry or comparable)
- MLO with proven experience (eg 3 years) with the relevant analytical techniques
Experience
- Experience with HPLC/UPLC and/or protein analysis is a plus
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Strong people skills, team focused.
- Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
- You master the English language (both orally and in writing)
- You are prepared to work a few days per year in a late shift (e.g. 12:00 – 20:30 hrs.)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks as necessary
- You should be comfortable working with quality standards in a ISO 9001 environment.
