Microbiology Technical Specialist
Are you a talented Microbiologist with a passion for sharing your knowledge and supporting clients in the food and beverage industry? Do you thrive on creating engaging webinars, workshops, and innovative training materials in a variety of media formats? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!
As a Microbiology Technical Specialist, you will be a key member of the ALS technical team, acting as a subject matter expert and providing invaluable technical support to our laboratory teams and clients. You will collaborate with a diverse range of networks within the food and beverage industry to deliver exceptional value through our consultancy services.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide Expert Technical Support to clients and support projects as part of ALS’s value-added consultancy services
- Creating and delivering dynamic training; presenting informative, relevant and engaging technical training materials via webinars, in-person sessions, and other formats for both ALS clients and internal teams
- Take a technical lead in various projects within ALS, driving innovation and excellence
- Perform continuous horizon scanning within the food and beverage industry, ensuring up-to-date information is effectively communicated within ALS.
- Develop Innovative Training Materials: Create and develop FAQs, white papers, videos, and guides on current and relevant industry topics
- Support internal employee development by contributing to ALS mentoring programs
About You
- Educated to degree level in Food Microbiology or a related field
- Highly knowledgeable in ISO/IEC 17025 and BRCGS requirements
- Experienced in a Microbiology technical role within the food industry, with strong on-site factory experience
- A great communicator with the ability to build rapport and develop strong client relationships
- Skilled in providing consultancy services within the food and beverage industry
- Dynamic and engaging in your approach to training and development
- Proficient in computer literacy for creating technical and training materials
- Passionate about people, industry, and clients, with a keen eye for detail and a methodical approach
