Sales Application Chemist I

Overview

This position is an exciting opportunity for a Scientist who is looking to expand  career by applying their technical skills as member of Waters dynamic India Sales organization.

The ideal candidate combines excellent scientific skills with strong commercial business acumen, and the desire to contribute to the customers’ success by helping them choose the best system solution from Waters product portfolio to address the customers’ analytical challenges. The Applications Chemist will do sample analysis across multiple types of applications (not limited to), Pharmaceutical and Life Sciences with a focus on UPLC and LCMS instrumentation with nitrosamines, pesticides residue and Bioanalysis as main applications.

This role is required to travel approximately 30 % of person's time.

Responsibilities

• The person will be responsible for providing application support in pre sales and post sales support situations for primarily pharmaceuticals and lifesciences market.
• The person will be doing the demonstration of Waters instruments and is also responsible for maintaining the demo lab instruments.
• The person will be responsible for training Waters customers and solving their application related issues as and when required.
• The person will be providing the on site support to customers.
• The person will be preparing and delivering presentations as and when required.

Qualifications

• MSc in Analytical Chemistry or equivalent qualification in related Science field.
• Minimum 5 years and maximum 10 years of user experience on UPLC and TQ MS instrumentation.
• Interested to apply this technology across multiple types of applications.
• Experienced in LC-TQMS  based quantification workflow for various samples like pharma and food
• Sample preparation knowlege for Pharma and food applications.
• Resolve problems and ability to troubleshoot and maintain the equipment.
• Must be able to travel up to 30 % of the time in all India.
• Confident and Interpersonal savvy

Competencies:

(Good at spoken and writing english, knowleadge of LC TQMS and HRMS based impurity charecterization workflow)
