Engineer II, Field Service

Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical service, installation, operation, training, demonstration, and repair of GCMS, GC analyzers, GC equipment, and HPLC to Thermo Fisher customers.
- Demonstrate excellent technical proficiency in the Gas Chromatography product line.
- Install products at client premises and demonstrate features related to 21 CFR compliance under the CDS software.
- Deliver training and technical advice on instrument use, ensuring optimum performance.
- Investigate difficulties, tackle faults, and provide solutions or arrange for repairs.
- Act as a communication link between customers and Sales and Marketing teams.
- Monitor repairs, suggest product improvements, and provide regular customer visits.
- Assist with spare parts requirement monitoring and equipment maintenance.
- Achieve assigned spares and service revenue targets by promoting contracts, PM kits, instrument upgrades, and software upgrades.
- Travel extensively within the territory and potentially outside territory if required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a field service engineering role within the scientific industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of GCMS, GC analyzers, GC equipment, and HPLC.
- Outstanding troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams and customers.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
