Assay Informatics Specialist, Clinical Software
Overview
Waters is looking for an Assay Integration Specialist for our Clinical Software team.
As an Assay Integration Specialist, you will aid design, integration and testing of Assay specific software products through testing for the company and by creating and curating appropriate datasets for use in verification and validation activities. You will also be accountable for handling assay software related data and feedback from customers and stakeholders in alignment with current Business Goals to ensure that software and algorithms generated by the company are fit for purpose and meets the customers’ needs.
Clinical Systems Development was established to develop Waters Clinical and IVD Systems, Hardware and Software. Responsibilities
Assay Integration Specialist Responsibilities:
- Serve as the technical authority for integrating Waters Clinical software into assay kits and communicate effectively with development teams.
- Collaborate with Clinical Assay, Instrument, and Software teams to understand and support assay development needs.
- Develop verification and validation strategies for assay-based algorithm development.
- Act as the primary contact for assay-specific software issues, providing support where necessary.
- Facilitate communication between software developers and laboratory scientists.
- Independently analyze, interpret, and manage assay-related data.
- Lead larger-scale integration projects with minimal guidance.
- Identify and implement improvements to processes, systems, and quality frameworks.
- Stay informed about industry advancements and propose innovative solutions.
- Ensure integrated software complies with regulatory standards.
- Responsibilities may extend beyond those outlined, depending on the needs of the team.
Qualifications
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- Degree in engineering, computing or a science subject, or relevant commercial experience
- Extensive knowledge of applications and drivers and/or use of clinical based systems including LC and LC/MS based technologies.
- Proven experience working across multi-disciplined teams
- Experience of working in an agile, matrixed environment
- Knowledge of Waters products, applications and business processes.
