Location/Division Specific Information:
We are seeking a candidate based remotely in Atlantic Canada, with a preference for Moncton NB, Halifax NS, or Charlottetown PEI. Daily travel within Atlantic Canada is required, with up to 20% out-of-area travel for training or emergency coverage.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead all aspects of field service support and customer relationship management for our customers
- Provide complete services on Chromatography and Trace Elemental systems, including installation, repairs, preventative maintenance, and instrument qualifications
- Act as an advocate for Thermo Fisher Scientific in customer laboratories and drive growth
- Maintain positive relationships with customers and ensure excellent customer experience
- Efficiently complete trainings and work with a mentor to obtain timely certifications
- Address opportunities and challenges with high energy and passion in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain a strong focus on safety and adaptability to customer lab environments
- Arrange travel accommodations and submit expenses in a timely manner
Job Requirements:
- Minimum education requirement is a certificate, diploma, associate's or bachelor's degree in chemistry, physical science, electronics, or equivalent education
- 2+ years' experience and/or knowledge of Chromatography Instruments (IC and LC) and/or
- 2+ years' experience of Trace Elemental Instruments ICP-OE and ICP-MS
- Basic bench chemistry experience preferred
- Ability to work independently diagnosing and solving problems with service manuals and other user documentation
- Strong customer service skills in a customer-first environment
- Confirmed interpersonal/time leadership skills and ability to prioritize multiple priorities and administrative responsibilities independently
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. with assistance and carry 25-30 lbs. continuously throughout the day
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record
