Titration Specialist

Metrohm UK are seeking a candidate for the role of Titration Specialist. Metrohm are direct manufacturers of analytical equipment with a reputation for build quality and excellent technical support and service. The company is a foundation trust which means we offer excellent career stability.

The successful candidate will join a team of experienced and successful sales individuals. The role of the Titration Specialist is to provide technical support and demonstrations to a high technical standard for the sales team and to assist the Titration Business Manager to design and implement marketing for Metrohm Titration products. The candidate must be able to work with the team to appropriately identify the needs of both new and current customers in order to aid their success using Metrohm equipment. This will be done by developing an appropriate level of communication with clients and the sales team members to better understand and mitigate any issues the customers may face.

Job Description – To work with the Titration Business Manager to provide technical support, demonstrations and marketing for the sales team to promote and sell Titration products.

Metrohm UK are looking for a candidate with the drive and strategies to aid in supporting and developing the Titration Division in the UK and Ireland.

Applicant Profile

The successful candidate would ideally be one of the following:

• An experienced Account Manager in Analytical Chemistry instrumentation looking for a more technically challenging role.
• An experienced technical sales specialist/account manager in Scientific Instrumentation or scientific consumables looking for a more challenging technical role.
• Commercially aware chemist with experience using titration looking to get out of the laboratory and into a field-based role

Job responsibilities

To work with the Titration Business Manager to drive the sales team to promote and sell titration products:

• Assist the Titration Business Manager working with marketing to provide sales tools for the Account Managers
• Joint visits with the Account Managers to promote titration products
• Demonstration of all titration products to a high technical standard
• Assisting in co-ordinating equipment, application work, project priorities and requests for customer samples
• Transporting and setting-up titration demonstration equipment
• To support the relevant sales personnel by keeping up to date with any new developments at the manufacturing site and report back via Titration Product Manager Meetings.

Technical Support:

To provide technical support to/for:

• Metrohm sales force during all stages of the sales process including on-site visits
• Address technical questions about the techniques, applications and instrumentation for all Metrohm employees
• Assisting in training for all Account Managers on the technique and instrumentation you are responsible for

Essential/Desirable Skills

• Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or other relevant sciences
• Good understanding of analytical chemistry methodologies
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate to people of all levels.
• Full UK driving licence
• Previous use of Metrohm laboratory equipment or similar
