Work Location: Tianjin

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop methods and applications for testing liquid chromatography columns (analytical and prep columns) and sample prep consumables
  • Support Technical and Manufacturing personnel in transfer, optimization, scale-up, and troubleshooting of new production processes and SOPs
  • Design, develop, validate, and commercialize solutions/products to address unmet needs in liquid chromatography separation and sample preparation in industry
  • Lead projects within R&D and in collaboration with Project Management/Product/Operations/Marketing, including proper planning, resource allocation, execution, and completion, to drive high on time delivery of new products
  • Maintain all instruments and equipment in excellent condition, keep all work areas neat and clean, and follow all safety procedures without exception
  • Publish data, file patents, and disseminate research within/outside Danaher
  • Perform other functions required for development, commercialization, and support of new products and sustainment of existing products, as required
  • Travel as required (<15%)

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Master’s degree or higher in analytical chemistry or related fields
  • At least 3 years’ hands-on experience in liquid chromatography separation (analytical or prep chromatography)
  • Proficient in written English for technical communication
  • Deep understanding of existing challenges in separation sciences in industry
  • Demonstrate extreme ownership hold themself accountable to achieve key project objectives through technology development
  • Have a technological innovation mindset balanced with commercial acumen
  • Experience in mass spectrometry analysis is preferred
  • Strong record of scientific publications and patents is preferred
