The Senior Scientist, Technical Marketing, Pharma, Biopharma and Life Science Research will lead and execute technical experiments and projects that showcase the performance of SCIEX solutions across Pharma, Biopharma and Life Science Research workflows. You will translate analytical insights into compelling, customer centric marketing content that drives regional demand generation.  Working closely with customers and internal stakeholders, you will cultivate strong relationships, collaborate deeply to uncover needs, and produce impactful scientific content that blends expert storytelling with engaging, creative presentations. As a highly visible SCIEX associate across the Americas, you will elevate SCIEX’s brand and market presence by representing, advocating, and influencing through industry associations, key customer partnerships, conference participation, and your subject matter expertise.  You will also empower the commercial team by delivering training on new applications, competitive insights, and customer positioning. Finally, with a strong understanding of industry trends and a continuous drive to understand our customers, you will shape, inform, and contribute to our regional marketing growth strategies.

This position reports to the Americas Sr Manager, Technical Marketing & Communications and is part of the Americas commercial organization located in the United States. 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Represent SCIEX across the Americas scientific community through participation in tradeshows, seminars, virtual events, and delivery of scientific presentations.
  • Lead technical projects that demonstrate the unique performance of SCIEX solutions in Pharma, Biopharma and Life Science Research workflows to address customer challenges.
  • Develop compelling technical marketing content to showcase how SCIEX solutions solve real world problems by leveraging storytelling, scientific presentation acumen, and customer collaborations.
  • Educate and train the commercial organization on new workflows, competitive insights, and customer positioning.
  • Contribute to regional marketing growth strategies.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • University degree in relevant scientific field (e.g., Chemistry) with 5+ years of hands-on LC-MS experience
  • Subject-matter expertise in mass spectrometry workflows related to Pharma, Biopharma and Life Science Research analysis
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, with demonstrable ability to engage broad audiences on technical concepts with creativity and storytelling
  • Experience leading laboratory projects from inception to completion, working in collaboration with cross-functional internal teams and customers

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel and be customer facing up to 50% of the time within Canada, United States and Latin America

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Market research that informs business strategy, and / or direct customer insights experience or training
  • SCIEX LC-MS hardware and software
  • Advanced university degree is preferred

The salary range for this role is $110,000 - $125,000 USD   This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
