Job Description
The Role: As a Field Service Engineer with Unity Lab Services, you'll provide technical expertise for Molecular and Chromatography instrumentation (FTIR, NIR, UV-Vis, HPLC, IC, Sample Preparation, and Discreet Industrial Analysers) primarily in the North of the UK with occasional travel throughout UK and Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service through high-quality installations, repairs, and maintenance
- Provide technical support for the instrumentation in your field of expertise.
- Resolve technical issues efficiently while following safety protocols and guidelines
- Coordinate with team members to optimise work schedules
- Manage company assets including parts inventory and equipment
- Submit accurate and timely service and expense reports
Required Qualifications:
- Background in Electronics, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or related fields
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills
- PC proficiency and ability to work with specialised software
- Valid UK Driving License
- Availability to travel within territory (Monday-Friday with occasional overnight stays)
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
Preferred:
- 1+ year experience operating or servicing analytical equipment or related application support.
- Knowledge of UV-Vis/FTIR/Molecular instrumentation, HPLC, IC, GC or high-throughput testing.
