Microbiology Analyst

About the Position

  • Hours Per Week: Full time, permanent 37 hours per week
  • Contract Type: Permanent, Full time
  • Salary: £24242

We are excited to announce a fantastic part-time opportunity for an Analyst 1 to join our dynamic Microbiology team at ALS Environmental in Wakefield. This role is a perfect fit for those looking to build or expand their career in environmental science and laboratory work while managing other commitments.

The Day to Day:

  • Process samples in line with our Quality Management System
  • Achieve sample completion targets and meet deadlines
  • Work closely with team members to ensure efficient sample processing
  • Understand and respond to customer requirements
  • Follow COSHH Risk Assessments to handle chemicals safely

The Essentials:

  • Minimum of an A Level in Science or an equivalent qualification
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records
  • Ability to follow instructions and procedures meticulously
  • Good communication skills and basic IT proficiency
  • A collaborative team player who can also organise and manage their workload independently
  • A customer-focused mindset with a dedication to providing excellent service
