Field Application Scientist, Chromatography

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Field Application Scientist to join our Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Division.
  • This role will focus on pre- and post-sales technical support for the development and implementation of customer applications using Ion Chromatography (IC) and IC-MS, especially within regulated market applications such as environmental, food safety, and compliance testing.

The primary functions of the position will include

  • Conduct product introduction seminars, application-specific seminars, and analytical demonstrations to support sales activities.
  • Provide post-sales technical and analytical support, including troubleshooting and method optimization.
  • Participate in industry seminars, exhibitions, and technical conferences.
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships by delivering high-quality technical support.
  • Monitor competitors’ products and market positioning to support strategic sales efforts.
  • Perform hardware and software demonstrations for IC and IC-MS systems to drive customer adoption.

​You will build these knowledges and Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of IC and IC-MS theory, operation, and applications.
  • Experience with analytical instrumentation, specifically IC and IC-MS.

Qualifications:

  • MS or Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related field (preferred)
  • 3+ years of extensive operational experience with IC and IC-MS systems (required)
  • Over 5 years of professional experience (preferred)
  • Practical experience with Single Quadrupole, Triple Quadrupole, or High-Resolution Accurate Mass systems (preferred)
  • Prior experience in pre- and post-sales technical support is an advantage
  • Possible for frequent domestic business trips
  • No disqualification for overseas business trips
