Analytical Clinical Biochemist
- Gathers data and documents test results.
- Follows effective standard operating procedures to complete all job tasks.
- Reviews test results to ensure compliance with standards; reports any quality anomalies.
- Complies with all pertinent regulatory agency requirements.
- Operate inside a GMP regulated lab space supporting pharmaceutical clinical testing.
- Participates in required training activities.
- Maintains laboratory supplies.
- Completes test records and reviews data.
- Follows good documentation practices in both paper logbooks and electronic systems.
- Calibrates or verifies calibration of instruments/devices prior to use.
- Interacts with outside customers or functional peer groups.
- May assist in validation of methods.
- Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivated, adaptability, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s + 2 years of relevant industry experience or Master's degree + 1 year of relevant experience
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
- Experience with biochemistry assays and techniques, including but not limited to:
- Experience with ELISAs
- Working with 96 well-plates
- Serial dilutions
- Working with small volumes with multi-channel pipette
Additional Information
The position is full-time, Monday - Friday, with the hours of 8:00 am - 4:00 pm with overtime as needed. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, New York, are encouraged to apply.
