Lead Biochemist – Quality Control Night Shift
- Perform wet chemistry testing
- HPLC, UV-Vis, CE
- Sample receipt
- Glassware washing
- Use ALCOA to document test results in electronic notebooks
- Would support various QC labs where work is needed
- Coach, train, and develop others within the group with respect to their personal development and effective implementation of operational improvements
- Coordinate workflow and perform daily monitoring to meet TAT
- Prepare and review job plans, conduct semiannual performance reviews, interview applicants, keep training records up to date for assigned employees, perform succession planning in preparation for growth
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in physical science (chemistry, physics, etc.), or other related degree concentration, with a minimum of 4 years of experience
- At least 2 years of GMP industry leadership experience is required.
- Strong focus on quality, teamwork, and productivity
- Proactive, positive, solution-oriented leadership style with the ability to prioritize and coordinate simultaneous projects with varying deadlines
- Strength in employee engagement, morale, and retention
- Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with internal and external clients, self‑motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
- Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
- Proficiency in IT-related skills such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Additional Information
- The position is full-time, 8pm to 6am, Wed to Sat or Sun to Wed (4x10s shift)
- May be requested to work on weekends, overtime, and holidays based on business needs.
