LC/MS Principal Scientist / Lab Manager

Our client is looking for an experienced Chemist who will develop new methods and processes in a CRO lab. This role will be a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of adding mass spectrometry capabilities to a testing lab.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Build and manage a cGMP lab as an expansion for an existing CRO
  • Develop and validate new LC-MS and GC-MS methods and SOPs to expand operations
  • Train Lab Associate(s) on new methods, instrumentation, and SOPs
  • Regularly assist in routine testing for client samples on relevant instrumentation
  • Ensure successful daily operations (including troubleshooting, maintenance, etc.)
  • Communicate with clients regarding project updates and results promptly
Candidate Qualifications
  • PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or equivalent required
  • 3+ years working in a cGMP CRO/testing lab
  • Method development/validation on LC-MS and/or GC-MS instrumentation
  • Experience with the following assays: extractables/leachables, nitrosamines, impurities, pesticides is a PLUS
  • Drive to develop new lab capabilities and expand business operations
