 Field Applications Scientist – Proteomics 

VRS is seeking a technically savvy and personable scientist with deep expertise in LC-MS based proteomics to join an innovative and fast-growing manufacturer of high-performance chromatography tools. This is a newly created Field Application Specialist role, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact in supporting advanced proteomics workflows across North America.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support, training, and onboarding for scientists using cutting-edge LC-MS products
  • Assist Sales and R&D teams to enhance customer success and expand into adjacent application areas
  • Troubleshoot workflows, advise on best practices, and act as a subject matter expert for proteomics
  • Represent the company at conferences and industry events
  • Travel up to 50% throughout North America, with occasional international travel
Candidate Qualifications
  • Master’s degree or PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience with LC-MS-based proteomics
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, customer-oriented approach
  • Experience in a customer-facing scientific support role is essential
