  • Lead New Product Introduction (NPI), including system test development and technology transfer into manufacturing.
  • Develop manufacturing processes and drive process improvements with suppliers.
  • Conduct failure analysis and lead root-cause investigations supporting CAPA and customer issues.
  • Develop and implement advanced analytics and AI solutions to improve testing and troubleshooting.
  • Review and approve Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
  • Create and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and Device History Records (DHRs), and train technicians and manufacturing engineers.
  • Review and disposition nonconforming materials.
  • Design and implement production test equipment and fixtures.
  • Provide technical support to suppliers.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on cost reduction, manufacturing capacity, and supply chain optimization.

Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or a related field required. Master's degree, PhD, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in instrumentation design, development, or engineering.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills supporting complex analytical instrumentation.
  • Knowledge of chromatography and mass spectrometry principles; hands-on experience with LC/MS systems or components is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency with electrical test equipment (e.g., digital multimeters, oscilloscopes) and engineering drawings.
  • Experience with engineering documentation, change control, and risk assessments.
  • Experience with LC/MS hardware and software is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Python, Lua, C#, C++, or similar programming languages.
  • Experience in regulated manufacturing environments (e.g., ISO 9001); SAP experience is a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Project.

Skills & Critical Competencies

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Design of Experiments (DOE), process controls, and statistical analysis.
  • Proven leadership in cross-functional technical teams.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, presentation, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations and the New Product Introduction (NPI) process.
  • Self-motivated with sound decision-making and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar quality methodologies.
