We are currently looking for a Pre-Sales LC-MS Application Specialist to join the Application Team in Waldbronn, Germany.

PRE-SALES LC-MS APPLICATION SPECIALIST (M/F/D)

Job Description

• You will be a part of a professional team of Application Specialists in the Agilent's Life Sciences and Applied Markets Group spread over four different Center of Excellences across Europe.

• You will work closely with the Sales Team and other Application Specialists. You will be the expert to support the sales process by developing applications and workflows as well as demonstrating our instrumentation to customers addressing their analytical needs according to the market situation. It is therefore important that you are technically strong, proactive, communicative and a team player.

Responsibilities:

• Apply established or build methods to customer samples, transfer customer methods to Agilent instruments or develop new application workflows where required, in order to demonstrate the performance of Agilent's LC-MS portfolio to our customers in the Agilent Center of Excellence in Waldbronn, Germany.

• Understand customer’s challenges, recommend solutions, and ensure the highest customer satisfaction.

• Communicate and position the results to customers through presentations during scientific conferences, seminars, workshops and user meetings.

• Travel to customer sites to present results, implement methods, provide application consultancy and deliver on-site customer trainings classes.

• Participate in the design and delivery of sales trainings about LC-MS technology and related workflows.

• Provide your application and market expertise at every level of the value chain, internally by working closely with product managers, marketing managers, sales teams, and customer support but also externally with (prospect) customers and key opinion leaders within the market.

• Interact with our R&D departments to address current technologies & applications and to incorporate requirements into upcoming products.

• Maintain and expand critical domain knowledge including the latest scientific findings, market & technology trends, industry benchmarks & regulations and competitive positioning.

• Work closely together with the sales teams to exceed LC-MS sales targets.

Qualifications

• Master Degree or equivalent (PhD preferred) with a strong focus on instrumental analysis.

• Knowledge and Hands-on experience (3+ years) with LC-MS QQQ and LC-MS QTOF technology, its operation with focus on applications.

• Validated experience in Life Science / Pharma / Biopharma to run LC-MS experiments.

• Ideally compliance experience in terms of related analytical software products.

• Knowledge and hands-on experience with LC-MS automation products preferred.

• Excellent presentation, communication (written & oral) and customer facing skills are required.

• Good team working skills.

• Excellent problem-solving skills.

• Work independently on projects.

• Well-organized in order to be able to meet deadlines while handling several different projects simultaneously.

• Willingness to travel (throughout Europe) up to 25% of the time.

• Fluent verbal & written German and English skills.
