Product Specialist in Singapore (LC-MS)

At Evosep we aim to improve quality of life and patient care by radically innovating how protein based clinical diagnostics are performed, initially through collaborations with world-leading scientists about developing new technologies and solutions to make sample separation 10 times faster and 100 times more robust than todays’ alternatives.

Proteomics is about the study of proteins in a biological mechanism, both their individual function and their combined interactions. For clinical proteomics the goal is to be able to quickly and efficiently compare a biological sample against a profile panel of selected proteins in order to deliver a diagnose / verdict of healthy or diseased (within given statistical margins). Such a profile is typically called a biomarker and for official approval, it must be demonstrated successfully on a large population.

This calls for fast sample processing and because such clinical samples, in the form of blood or biopsies, are much more crude that the relatively clean cell cultures used in basic research, very robust protocols and consumables are also required.

PRODUCT SPECIALIST IN SINGAPORE

Do you have hands-on experience with LC-MS instrumentation for proteomics and excellent people and communication skills? Then you might be the one we are looking for as our new Product Specialist based out of Singapore. We are experiencing increasing demand in The Asia-Pacific region, and we need you to assist our customers and service partners with service and application support as well as provide internal sales support.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Support Evosep One users as a domain expert in LC-MS and proteomics.

• Plan and provide user training.

• Plan and provide installation, preventive maintenance and repair.

• Provide technical support from home-based office.

• Create support related documentation.

• Support our sales team with product expertise and scientific presentations.

Qualifications

Your most important qualification is your personality! We care about hiring people who we believe can thrive and develop at Evosep. Our team is diverse, but a positive can-do attitude and the desire to be part of something bigger than yourself are common characteristics for the entire team. For this role, the following qualifications would also be preferable:

• B. Sc., M. Sc., or Ph.D. in Analytical Sciences, Biochemistry or related fields.

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with LC-MS instrumentation for proteomics.

• Commercial experience will be considered a plus.

• Excellent communication and “people” skills are essential. This goes for both writing and presenting skills, as well as listening and interaction skills in general.

• Fluent in English, Mandarin is considered a plus.

• Moderate to frequent travel will be required within APAC, as well as occasional global trips.

• When not traveling, you must be able and motivated to work from home – preferably based out of Singapore.
