SALES MANAGER (CHEMISTRY CONSUMABLES)

Job Description

As the Chemistry Sales Manager you are in charge of leading and coaching an ambitious sales team, that is keen to grow the chemistry and lab automation business at new and existing customers, while we focus on problems that matter for our customers.

Your team is responsible for a territory of varied accounts which will be fulfilled through a combination of run rate business as well as identifying and working with customers looking to develop new methods and rectify issues they may have with their lab workflow.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible and accountable for reaching the financial chemistry targets for PAN India.

  • Through strong leadership; attract, motivate and develop a highly performing, diverse sales team.

  • Coach and support the team's chemistry business plan development and execution.

  • Forecast your business on a monthly basis.

  • Demonstrate and drive your team towards a disciplined and compliant way of working within our commercial processes, administrative and reporting tasks.

This is a nice opportunity for anybody who is passioned by customers and sales and that is eager to develop into a first or next leadership role. You will become part of a very talented and diverse chemistry management team that will support you on your journey.

Qualifications

  • Experience in sales of analytical chromatographic solutions, consumables, services or informatics.

  • Leadership skills - Eager to hit measurable success by managing a team of diverse individuals.

  • 7yrs of sales leadership experience, with an overall of 12yrs plus.

  • Proven excellent communication skills, including in a remote environment.

  • Ability to think beyond the chemistry department and understand the wider corporate organizational needs.

  • BSc / Msc/ MTech with Marketing or business administration (MBA preferred).

  • Proven track record of positive sales performance.

  • Excellent negotiation skills / financial & general numeracy skills / communication skills / presentation skills / leadership skills / forecasting & general sales skill / people management skills.

  • Strong decision making abilities.

  • Able to travel up to two – three weeks per month.

  • Familiarity with SFDC / SAP / Excel.
