Your Role:

• We have an exciting opportunity for a Lab Support Specialist working on the evening shift 1pm-9pm Monday - Friday on the complex customization of product to customer specification using liquid handling robotics or hand-pipetting skills to adjust concentrations and volumes. You will be trained to support 3 lab departments in performing dilutions, serial dilutions, multiple aliquots and creation of mixed plates according to production schedule and associated work instructions.

• You will operate and maintain liquid handling robots, perform thorough process checks to ensure correct plate locations and orientation, record run data on QMS paperwork and update database and associated electronic forms with appropriate information.

• You will also be trained to perform purification of custom synthetic DNA: using HPLC, PAGE, RP and desalting techniques.

Who you are:

• 3 GCSE (or equivalent) passes including Mathematics and English

• Good understanding of Maths & Microsoft Excel

• A-level (or equivalent) or Degree in a relevant maths/scientific subject (Desired)

• Some experience of working in a similar environment (manufacturing &/or laboratory) (Desired)
