We are currently seeking a Scientist – R&D Sustainment who will be responsible for executing and guiding work to improve the manufacturing of Phenomenex’ column portfolio.
SCIENTIST - R&D SUSTAINMENT
What we’ll get you doing:
Designs and executes sets of experiments to determine optimal HPLC/UHPLC column packing conditions
Participates in data review with Senior Scientists/Managers and recommends next steps in process optimization investigations
Assists Operations with technical guidance and troubleshooting as needed
Performs physical and chemical testing of chromatographic sorbents, HPLC columns and sample preparation products with limited supervision
Performs routine instrument maintenance and troubleshooting, and requests and coordinates professional service if necessary
The essential requirements of the role include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry or related discipline with 3 years of relevant industry experience
Master’s Degree in Chemistry or related discipline with 1 year of relevant industry experience
Practical experience with HPLC/UHPLC instrumentation
General chemical laboratory skills
Process data analytics skills
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Preparative/process column packing experience.
The salary range for this role is $71,400 - $98,100.
This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
