FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER - CHROMATOGRAPHY

Job Description

  • Every day, Agilent Field Service Engineers help our customers to solve issues that enable scientists to make discoveries that enhance the quality of life.

  • Through our work, we deliver insights and provide support that keep laboratories running smoothly and more efficiently. Join our dynamic organization to be a part of this rewarding and exciting work!

  • You will be responsible for supporting our clients with on-site installation, implementation, maintenance and delivery of customer training on our chromatography solutions (LC, GC, HPLC…).

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Respond to customer needs by providing repair, installation, upgrade and preventive maintenance activities

  • Contact customers in a timely manner and schedules service efficiently

  • Connect with manager and sales team to understand and meet customer needs and expectations

  • Maintain Agilent’s customer service reputation by aligning with all corporate policies and procedures

  • Complete administrative paperwork and computer reports promptly and accurately

  • Provide feedback to the Product Specialists, manufacturing or OEM vendors concerning performance anomalies encountered - use the complaint handling system as required

  • Address customer requests for service and communicate proactively before, during and after service

This role won’t be head-office based and you will working remotely combined with travel to customer sites in Ireland (a company car will be available to you).

Qualifications

We are looking for an individual with the following background:

  • University degree in Life Science related topic (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, etc…)

  • First hands-on laboratory experience with chromatography solutions (LC, GC, HPLC…) as an end-user or in a technical support role

  • Full proficiency in English

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • A valid driving license

On a personal level, you enjoy working both autonomously and as part of a team. You have great communications and written skills to interact with many internal and external partners. You are also customer oriented and you like solving problems.
