Job Description
Every day, Agilent Customer Support/Field Service Engineers help our customers to solve issues that enable scientists to make life-changing discoveries.
Through our work, we deliver insights and provide support that keep labs running smoothly and more efficiently.
In this position, you will provide on-site repair, preventive maintenance, installation, sales support and modification implementation on the instrumentation to ensure customer satisfaction.
Your focus will be on our chromatography (GC, GC-MS, LC, LC-MS, HPLC) and spectroscopy (ICP-MS, ICP-OES, UV-VIS) solutions.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Respond to customer needs by providing repair, installation, upgrade and preventive maintenance activities
Contact customers in a timely manner and schedules service efficiently
Connect with manager and sales team to understand and meet customer needs and expectations
Maintain Agilent’s customer service reputation by aligning with all corporate policies and procedures
Complete administrative paperwork and computer reports promptly and accurately
Provide feedback to the Product Specialists, manufacturing or OEM vendors concerning performance anomalies encountered - use the complaint handling system as required
Address customer requests for service and communicate proactively before, during and after service
For this role, you will be travelling and visiting clients on a regular basis in Belgium and Luxembourg.
Qualifications
We are looking for a motivated individual with the following background:
University Degree in Analytical Chemistry or similar (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology…)
Significant experience in technical support OR as an end user of chromatography and/or spectroscopy techniques such as GC, GC-MS, LC, LC-MS, HPLC, ICP-MS, ICP-OES, UV-VIS
Basic knowledge of IT network (VPN, servers…)
Full proficiency in English, besides of proficiency in Dutch or French
A valid driving license
On a personal level, you are open minded, autonomous, thorough and proactive. You also have great interpersonal skills to communicate with both internal and external partners.

This full-time, permanent position is available as soon as possible. The role won’t be head-office based but working remotely combined with travel to customer sites within your assigned geography (a company car will be available to you).
