LABORATORY SENIOR TECHNICIAN - VITAMINS AND ADDITIVES - CHATTERIS

About the Position

• Hours Per Week: 40
• Days Per Week: Various shift patterns include: Monday to Friday from 1:30pm to 10pm, Tuesday to Saturday from 6am to 2:30pm or Sunday to Thursday from 6am to 2:30pm.
• Contract: Full Time & Permanent
• Annual Salary: £23,788

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake Vitamin and Additive analysis using HPLC adhering to strict methods and proceedures.

• Train and supervise staff in microbiology methodology and procedures.

• Keep shift supervisors informed of potential errors to testing, deadline deviations, stock shortages.

• Maintain records accurately and within the prescribed timelines.

• Adehere to all quality management and health and safety procedures and protocols.

• Assist in the identification of areas for continuous improvement alongside the laboratory manager.

About you:

• 5 GCSE level or equivalent qualifications in Science, English & Mathematics.

• Proficiency in microbiology analysis across a range of methodology and procedures.

• Proficient user of Microsoft Office programs.

• Accuracy and attention to detail.

• Good organisational skills, ability to work on own initiative and prioritise workload.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work and succeed in a team environment.
