Although modern agriculture needs to be based on accurate real-time data on soil, plant, and environmental conditions, affordable, sufficiently sensitive, and robust monitoring devices for this purpose are currently missing. According to scientists, low-cost sensors based on new smart materials and printing technologies offer a suitable solution. The results of multidisciplinary research thus far and proposals for the development of these devices have been presented by researchers from Czechia, Great Britain, Spain, and the USA in a review article in the prestigious journal <a target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer" href="https://www.nature.com/articles/s41467-026-68778-6#Abs1">Nature Communications</a>.“Sensor technologies for monitoring plant health are still in their infancy. Only simple sensors capable of monitoring basic parameters such as pH, soil moisture, or temperature are commonly available on the market. However, if farmers are to face current challenges, including climate change, and ensure sufficient food for humanity, they need much more effective tools that will enable them to monitor, for example, various pathogens, including bacteria and fungi. The Alltesta™ Mini High-Pressure Switching Valve offers versatility and convenience for laboratory fluid management applications. It features flexible flow switching at varying flow rates and can be used independently or as part of the <a href="https://lcms.labrulez.com/products/124">Alltesta™ Analyzer</a> or <a href="https://lcms.labrulez.com/products/1244">Alltesta™ Autosampler</a>.
With customizable options, including up to 10 available ports on the stator, the valve can be tailored to specific needs. It is built to handle pressures up to 5000 psi (350 bar) and boasts a fast 60 degree switch time of 200 milliseconds.

Alltesta™ Ultra High Pressure Mini Syringe Pump is designed to produce a steady, high pressure, pulsation-free flow, so there is no need for bulky dampeners, mixers, and precision check valve arrangements. It can refill prior to each run in less than a minute, and can produce flow rates from as low 1 μL/min to as fast as 4000 μL/min with pressure up to 4000 psi (285 bar).
The Mini Syringe Pump allows for several communication options via its USB/Serial port.
