Presenter: Andrew Leightner (Market Development Manager, Pharmaceuticals – Americas Field Mktg., Waters Corporation)

Andy Leightner has over10 years of experience serving the pharma market from contract research organizations. He specialized in method development and validation leveraging LC, GC, and mass spectrometry to meet complex client needs. He currently supports the Americas pharmaceutical business marketing segment for Waters Corporation. The pharmaceutical business market focuses on small and large molecule discovery, development and QC including: ADME, DMPK, bioanalysis, characterization, E&L, method development & validation, MLCM, lot release,and storage stability. Andy received abachelorsdegree in biologyfrom the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Jim Bulgarelli has over 10 years of experience at Waters supporting customers as part of the MS Field Applications team and now as Customer Education, Manager in Americas Professional Services. Jim and his team of Application Consultants deliver LCMS system and informatics training to customers, as well as applications and consultative support serving various markets including contract research organizations. Prior to joining Waters, Jim spent almost 20 years in the Pharmaceutical industry gaining a wide range of experience from regulated Analytical R&D supporting NDA submissions to Discovery Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics method and assay development. Jim is an analytical chemist, specializing in quantitative and qualitative mass spectrometry. Jim received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from La Salle University in Philadelphia, PA.
