In modern production of small molecule pharmaceuticals and biopharmaceuticals, process analytical technology (PAT) plays an important role to monitor, develop, and optimize chemical and biological processes. As a PAT resource, online liquid chromatography (online LC) can support design, analysis, and control of processes through real-time measurement of critical process parameters (CPPs) and critical quality attributes (CQAs).

In this webinar presentation, you will learn about a newly developed online LC platform, which provides automated sample analysis via direct injections or retained samples from flow reactors, batch reactors, upstream bioreactors and downstream purification devices.

Key learning objectives:

  • Process monitoring via LC applications
  • Online LC
  • Process automation
  • LC innovation and new LC tools

Who should attend:

  • Analytical chemists
  • Biochemists
  • Process chemists
  • Anyone working in process development who requires fast and unattended process monitoring

Presenter: Dr. Daniel Kutscher (Product manager, Analytical LC, Agilent Technologies, Agilent Technologies)

Dr. Daniel Kutscher is a biochemist and experienced life science professional with global responsibilities as a product manager for analytical HPLC. Daniel received his Ph.D. in 2011 from Justus-Liebig-University in Giessen, Germany, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Alfred Pingoud. After completing his Ph.D., he moved to New York City, USA, where he worked until 2018 as an HPLC product specialist, supporting customers in various industries. Daniel currently works for Agilent Technologies as a product manager for analytical HPLC with a strong focus on better connecting the analytical with the (bio-) process world.
