LC-MS/MS methods for vitamin B and D analyses as per AOAC methods in infant and adult formulae

RECORD | Already taken place We, 1.1.2020
We will discuss about the different AOAC methods and the sample preparations. We will also share some of the application development works done closely following AOAC methods using Shimadzu LC-MS/MS.
Go to the webinar

Vitamin B and D are important micronutrients to maintain good health. They are often fortified in various foods such as infant and adult formulae for added health benefits. Over the years, there are many AOAC methods dedicated to the analyses of different vitamin B and vitamin D compounds in infant and adult formulae. In recent years, many AOAC methods use LC-MS/MS to analyse both these vitamins. In this webinar, I will discuss about the different AOAC methods and the sample preparations in the analysis of vitamin B and D. I will also share some of the application development works done closely following AOAC methods using Shimadzu LC-MS/MS.

Learning Objectives

  • Review of AOAC analysis methods for Vitamin B and D, and explore the use of LC-MS/MS in AOAC methods
  • Understand the development of AOAC methods in Shimadzu lab

Presenter: Chew Yin Ling (LC/LCMS Application chemist, Shimadzu (Asia Pacific) Pte Ltd)

Yin Ling graduated from National University of Singapore (NUS) with a bachelor’s degree in Applied Chemistry. Currently, she is an LC/LCMS application chemist in the Centre for Application Solutions in Shimadzu Asia Pacific. She has 6 years of experience in method development for various LC and LCMS applications. She also focuses on different sample preparation techniques such as solid-phase extraction and QuEChERS for different matrices, especially food matrices.
