Agilent Technologies: Ready-to-run eMethods Make Complex Cannabis Testing Simple
Agilent Technologies: Ready-to-run eMethods Make Complex Cannabis Testing Simple

The importance of safety and quality testing of cannabis and hemp is paramount in order to satisfy both consumers’ need and regulatory requirements.

The implementation of the testing protocols requires considerable time and substantial technical expertise. To reduce the time and effort needed to create optimized end-to-end workflows, we will show how eMethods establish and sustain reliable and efficient analytical protocols faster and easier, leading to increased productivity and profitability. A suite of eMethods will be presented for potency, pesticide residue, mycotoxins, heavy metals, and residual solvents testing. Beside the complete instrumental and data analysis methods, information on sample preparation and best practices are also provided along with a comprehensive list of all the essential consumables and supply needed for the application.

Scientist performing these analyses, laboratory management and investors planning to set up cannabis testing laboratories will benefit from the conveyed information.

Presenter: Elizabeth Almasi (Applications Program Manager, Agilent Technologies, Inc.)

Elizabeth Almasi is the Application Program Manager in the Mass Spectrometry division at Agilent technologies in Santa Clara. Ms. Almasi has decades long experience both in application development and instrumentation design. Harnessing her extensive expertise in efficient application development under the strictest QC requirements and pairing it with the exceptional technical capabilities of Agilent’s analytical instrumentation, her latest project is eMethod development for cannabis testing.
