Presenter: Philip Leong (Product Manager, Phenomenex)

Philip Leong has worked in the biotechnology industry for over 16 years with Life Science and Clinical Diagnostics background. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering from UC San Diego and a Master’s degree in Biotechnology from California State University, Fullerton. He has held roles in Technical Support both in Life Science and Diagnostics, as well as roles in Product Management and Global Marketing. He joined Phenomenex in July of 2021 and is the Global Product Manager for SPE Sample Preparation. Outside of work, Philip enjoys traveling, running in long distance races, and exploring different cuisines from around the world.

Presenter: Eduardo Morales (Supervisor - Organic Department, Weck Labs)

Eduardo has worked at Weck Laboratories for over 20 years. During this time, he has worked exclusively in the organic lab where he has been involved in all aspects of the operation. He now serves as a supervisor of organic chemistry where he is responsible for the development of new analytical methods, optimization of extraction techniques, mostly for emergent contaminants, and the development and implementation of protocols throughout the lab. Mr. Morales holds a Bachelor of Science in biochemistry from California State University Los Angeles.
