SCIEX: Decrypting liquid chromatography variation and managing compound optimization and ion suppression for improved LC-MS/MS assay reproducibility

Register for this webinar to learn how to improve your LC-MS/MS assays by investigating the causes of chromatographic variation, the effects of differing methods of compound optimization and the sources of ion suppression and how they can addressed for the best results. At the conclusion of the webinar we will present an experimental protocol to quantify your experimental parameters for extraction, process and ionization efficiency.

You will learn about
  • the effect each HPLC instrument component has on chromatographic variation
  • the impact of column stationary phase and the significance of precision in mobile phase preparation
  • the advantages and disadvantages of compound optimization by flow injection analysis (FIA)
  • the varying sources of ion suppression and how you can be best prepared to manage them

Presenter: Brad Patterson (Application Specialist SCIEX)

Brad obtained his PhD in Chemistry at James Cook University in 2003 and has been involved with mass spectrometry ever since. He has worked for SCIEX for 16 years and has been training people on and performing LC-MS development for 20 years. During this time, Brad has supported many applications in a range of industries throughout the world, primarily in the ANZ region.

Presenter: Namrata Saxena (Technical Specialist, Phenomenex Asia Pacific)

Namrata has a post graduate degree specializing in Analytical Chemistry and has extensive experience in the liquid chromatography domain. Before joining Phenomenex, she worked as a Product Specialist spending several years in column chemistry, column manufacturing and method development in the application and manufacturing labs of Bischoff Chromatography, Germany. In her present role as a Technical Specialist she provides technical assistance to customers globally, her current focus being on Omics and biologics, product, application and troubleshooting support.
