Analysis of PFAS, AOF, EOF, and corrosive ions in various matrices with combustion IC
Thermo Scientific: Analysis of PFAS, AOF, EOF, and corrosive ions in various matrices with combustion IC
Suitable sample preparation is vital for total halogen and sulfur analysis. Combustion IC is the traceable, fully documented, automated solution even for the most complex samples.
In this workshop, you will:
- learn the principle of combustion ion chromatography (CIC)
- understand CIC applications for the most challenging matrices
- discover the new integrated CIC workflow
- have the chance to discuss your technical questions with our experts
Traditional approaches are often cumbersome, time-consuming, and not consistently reproducible. Combustion ion chromatography (CIC) automates the pyrohydrolytic oxidization even for the most complex samples. In this workshop, organized together with with Nittoseiko Analytech (formerly Mitsubishi Chemical Analytech), Takuro Kato and Dr. Detlef Jensen will present the new combustion IC workflow and applications in detail! PFAS in water (AOF), in tissue (EOF), the analysis of high purity raw materials, industrial waste, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), metal ores, food, and beverages, recycled oil, or lithium-ion batteries: CIC is the solution. It is traceable, fully documented, and automated.
Workshop agenda:
- 10:00 - Welcome; introduction to combustion techniques and instrumentation; bascis in ion chromatography (IC)
- 11:00 - Automated combustion unit and Thermo Scientific Chromeleon Software; combustion IC applications
- 12:00 - Time for your questions
- 12.30 - End of workshop
Who should attend:
- Laboratory analysts working in environmental, food, industrial or pharmaceutical labs
- Analysts challenged with PFAS testing
- Analysts challenged with the analysis of total halides or total sulfur
Presenter: Dr. Detlef Jensen (Senior Ion Chromatography Expert - EMEA, Thermo Fisher Scientific)
Detlef holds a PhD in chemistry from the Technical University Berlin/Germany. For 30 years, he covered many positions at Dionex and Thermo Fisher Scientific. He is supporting our users and our team of field experts all over Europe with his deep knowledge of all expects of ion chromatography and its applications.
Presenter: Takuro Kato (Product Line Manager - Analytical Instruments, Mitsubishi Chemical Europe)
Takuro graduated in inorganic and organic chemistry at Freiburg University/Germany and gathered work experience at Novartis and the Technical University Munich/Germany. For over 10 years, he is now responsible for European Technical Support for analytical instrumentation by Nittoseiko Analytech (former Mitsubishi Chemial Analytech) and leads the European applications laboratory.
