Oligo to Go: Navigating your LC/MS Options for Oligonucleotide Characterization
Agilent Technologies: Oligo to Go: Navigating your LC/MS Options for Oligonucleotide Characterization
The comprehensive profiling of oligo products is critical and several attributes including intact mass, purity, and sequence are routinely determined by high-performance liquid chromatography mass spectrometry. A variety of instrument and software options for these examinations exist and it can be challenging to navigate between them.
This presentation will focus on a range of LCMS options for the characterization of oligo samples and data analysis strategies behind those efforts. Specifically, oligo data from single quad and multiple high-resolution accurate-mass instruments will be explored. In addition, software workflows for intact mass determination, purity assessment, and sequence confirmation will be demonstrated.
Presenter: Peter Rye, Ph.D. (LC/MS Applications Scientist, Agilent Technologies, Inc.)
Peter is a pre-sales Application Engineer with Agilent Technologies. He has been with Agilent for 10 years developing LC, RapidFire, and mass spec methods on a wide range of molecules. Prior to Agilent, Peter worked in analytical development groups for BioTove and BIOCIUS, the original companies that developed the RapidFire platform. In his spare time, you can find Peter relaxing with his wife and kids in Beverly Massachusetts, trying to fix the many problems with his home, or staying active outdoors.
