Presenter: Dr. Kari Organtini (Waters Corporation)

Dr. Kari Organtini is part of the food and environmental applications team at Waters, developing applications on LC- and GC- MS/MS for a variety of applications ranging from pesticides to persistent organic pollutants. She is currently the scientific lead for developing PFAS applications. She received her PhD from Penn State University in 2015 where she studied the occurrence of dioxins and furans in fire debris and their implications to first responder health.

Presenter: Dr. Stuart Adams (Waters Corporation)

Dr. Stuart Adams has been developing methods for the determination of contaminants in food and the environment for over 17 years. Before he moved to Waters in 2018 to focus on application development, he previously worked as a senior analytical chemist at Fera. He now works with customers to understand and help address their analytical challenges with Waters technologies, with a particular interest in PFAS.

Presenter: Stuart Oehrle (Waters Corporation)

Stuart Oehrle is a field chemist with over 30 years of tenure at Waters and an adjunct instructor for 25+ years at Northern Kentucky University. Stuart obtained his chemistry degree from Northern Kentucky University and did his graduate work at the University of Alabama-Huntsville and University of Cincinnati. Stuart’s primary area of focus is the application of LC and LC-MS/MS. He has worked extensively in the analyses of toxins from cyanobacteria, explosives, and chemical warfare agents. He has published or presented over 70 papers as well as been awarded several patents.

Presenter: Dr. Nicole Riddell (Wellington)

Nicole is the Quality Manager at Wellington Laboratories Inc. She obtained a PhD in Analytical Chemistry from Orebro University (Sweden) under the supervision of Dr. Bert van Bavel and a Master’s degree in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from the University of Guelph (Canada). Her main responsibilities include Quality Management in support of Wellington’s three ISO accreditations, provision of technical support relating to the use of Wellington’s certified reference standards, and general research project co-ordination. Her multi-disciplinary background allows her to execute these tasks with a unique perspective. Although Nicole provides support for all Wellington product lines she has worked heavily with per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), in both a synthetic and analytical capacity, since she started at Wellington nearly 18 years ago.

Presenter: Ken Rosnack (Waters Corporation)

Ken Rosnack is a Principal Market Development Manager in the Testing & Lab Services Group for Waters Corporation. His primary focus is within regulated and routine LC-MS/MS environmental market where he is responsible for world-wide strategy implementation and performance. He maintains collaborations within regulatory agencies as well as with global industrial partners. Over his career, Ken has been primary author on numerous publications, been an invited speaker multi-nationally, and has presented at many conferences. He has been involved with MS for the past 40 years.

Presenter: Blake Forman (SelectScience)

Blake studied chemistry at the University of Surrey, UK, and further went on to study a master’s in chemistry at the University of Southampton, UK. Blake has previously worked in the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) lab at LGC and as a technical sales specialist for Waters. As a member of the Editorial team, he now plays an integral role in shaping the content on SelectScience.
