Adsorption, distribution, metabolism and excretion (ADME) profiling is used to determine the properties of drug candidates. Modern drug discovery environments depend on the accuracy and precision of results from ADME studies to select new targets with a high potential for clinical success.

However, as technology advances, the size of compound libraries increases. Once a compound shows an affinity for a target, understanding the ADME profile of a drug in vitro can reduce attrition rates in the drug development process.

Acoustic ejection mass spectrometry (AEMS) has a significantly higher throughput than traditional LC-MS approaches due to the rapid sampling and flow injection analysis enabled by a high-sensitivity mass spectrometer.

In the webinar, we discuss a suite of metabolic stability assays developed using an AEMS system.
