Recent advances in liquid chromatography hardware and UHPLC columns have enabled LC and LC/MS experiments to be faster and more sensitive.

However, running HPLC experiments on low-dispersion instruments can lead to earlier retention times, elution order changes, and differences in resolution compared to that previously observed.
