Presenter: Jeffery Moran, PhD (Chief Executive Officer, PinPoint Testing)

Dr. Jeffery Moran is the Chief Executive Officer at PinPoint Testing and has over 20 years’ experience in developing advanced testing applications including drug toxicology, industrial hygiene, and environmental threats. Dr. Moran has intimate knowledge of managing public health laboratories with over 10 years’ experience as the Branch Chief at the Arkansas Department of Health -Public Health Laboratory (ADH-PHL) where he managed A2LA-ISO17025, CAP/CMS-CLIA, and USEPA accredited laboratories. While at ADH-PHL Dr. Moran helped develop LC-MS/MS methods and validation plans for public health laboratories as part of the CDC Laboratory Response Network (LRN-C) and was often invited to serve as a technical expert. He chaired a national committee of experts to author the CLIA-Compliant Analytical Method Validation Plan and Template – for LRN-C Laboratories (Appendix E). Dr. Moran is a pioneer in the detection of novel psychoactive substances, publishing some of the first papers on the detection and metabolism of synthetic cannabinoids, opioids, and other designer drugs. Dr. Moran continues research on designer drugs as an assistant professor at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology. He is a qualified expert witness that specializes in analytical toxicology and drug metabolism.
