Agilent: Agilent Webinar Series for Food Testing Workflows: Quantitative Analysis of Mycotoxins in Foods by Triple Quadrupole LC/MS
Agilent Webinar Series for Food Testing Workflows: Part 8
Mycotoxins are toxic and produced by certain fungi that grow on crops such as maize, groundnuts and millets. These substances are a problem for food in Africa because they can cause serious health consequences and economic hardship.
Some of the effects of mycotoxin exposure are acute toxicosis, especially in infants consuming contaminated maize, and long-term chronic diseases such as cancers and birth defects. Financial losses caused by mycotoxin contamination include reduced crop yield and quality. They are a major cause of rejection of foods for export by breaching international regulations.
In this webinar, we will explore Agilent's range of potential end-to-end answers for a wide variety of foodstuffs to help laboratories address this serious issue.
