This session will outline the factors which impact LC/MS methods, such as solvents and additives. The use of multiple detectors will also be discussed and the session will end with some “care and feeding” information for MS systems.

Kieron Faherty is the Separations and Mass Spectrometry Field Marketing Manager for the Americas at Waters Corporation. He received his B.Sc. (Hons) in Chemistry from the University of Reading (Reading, Berkshire, UK) and his doctorate in Chemistry from the University of Massachusetts (Amherst, MA). He has held several field-based positions during his twenty-plus years at Waters, from Field Service Engineer on both quadrupole and Time-of-Flight MS systems to Principal Field Applications Specialist focused on biopharmaceutical applications.
