  • Scientist in Contract research organizations (CROs) & Contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs)

Presenter: Marco Rhotert (Technical Support Specialist, Chemistries & Supplies Division, Agilent Technologies)

Marco is a Technical Support Specialist at Agilent, focusing on glycobiology and biopharma applications. He joined Agilent via the acquisition of ProZyme, where he was providing technical support for the glycobiology portfolio. Marco received his Master in Biology from the University of Muenster (Germany), where he worked on carbohydrate modifying enzymes of plant pathogens at the department of plant biochemistry.

Presenter: Steven Mast (Process Development Scientist, Chemistries & Supplies Division, Agilent Technologies)

Steven is involved in process development, manufacturing, and glycan analytical services. He has experience in the biotechnology field with a focus on glycobiology. Steven joined Agilent in 2018 with the acquisition of ProZyme. He has a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Complex Carbohydrate Research Center, University of Georgia.

Presenter: Tom Rice (Bioconsumables Product Manager, Chemistries & Supplies Division, Agilent Technologies)

Tom is the Bioconsumables Product Manager at Agilent Technologies, coming to Agilent through the acquisition of ProZyme in 2018. Prior to joining Agilent, he held various sales and marketing roles within ProZyme beginning in 2014. Much of Tom’s work both at ProZyme and Agilent has been focused on bringing innovative glycobiology solutions to biopharma customers. Tom is based in Northern California and holds a B.S. from Sonoma State University.

Presenter: Aled Jones (Product Marketing Manager, Chemistries & Supplies Division, Agilent Technologies)

Aled is Marketing Manager for Biosconsumables, covering product lines that include tools for glycan analysis, and joined Agilent after the acquisition of Bay Area-based ProZyme by Agilent Technologies. He received his B.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in biochemistry from Cardiff University. This was followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at Wyeth Research in Cambridge MA, where he subsequently worked as a Senior Research Scientist.

Presenter: Randall Robinson (R&D Scientist, Chemistries & Supplies Division, Agilent Technologies)

Randall is an R&D Scientist at Agilent whose work focuses on developing new products and analytical workflows for glycans and related biomolecules. Since joining Agilent in 2021, he has been involved in the development of Agilent’s latest LC column for released glycan analysis, the AdvanceBio Amide HILIC. Randall has a Ph.D. in Food Science with an emphasis in chemical analysis of food-derived glycans and related carbohydrates.
