Presenter: Laura Ward (Technical Specialist, Phenomenex)

Laura Ward is a Technical Specialist for the Asia-Pacific region with Phenomenex, located in New Zealand. She completed an Honours thesis in the field of Geochemistry at the University of Sydney, Australia where she discovered a love for Analytical Chemistry. Following university, Laura joined Phenomenex Australia as a Technical Sales Consultant where she supported various industries and labs. After 5 years and a move to New Zealand, she has joined the Phenomenex Technical Team where she supports scientists globally with method development, troubleshooting and application support. Her professional area of interest is Green Chemistry, actively researching into more environmentally sustainable solutions in the analytical chemistry field. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys being outdoors in the New Zealand countryside and cooking from scratch, with her latest culinary adventure being cheesemaking.
