Metrohm: What Your Analyzer Isn’t Telling You: The Role of Sampling Design

When analyzers underperform, the issue is rarely the instrument itself, it’s the sample. In fact, studies show that up to 80% of analyzer problems originate in the sampling system. If the sample isn’t representative, even the most advanced analyzer can’t deliver meaningful data.

This webinar takes a critical look at the role of sampling system design in achieving accurate, timely measurements. You’ll gain insights into how to minimize lag time, avoid dead volume and maintain steady flow, ensuring your analyzer sees the process as it truly is. We’ll also cover practical piping considerations, filtration strategies and loop configurations that preserve sample integrity and improve system responsiveness.

Bring your curiosity, challenges and questions, you’ll have the chance to ask them directly to our experts during a live Q&A. This session will feature a live discussion between two industry experts as they walk through real-world examples, highlight common design pitfalls, and unpack the planning decisions that lead to more reliable results.

This webinar is ideal for:
  • Production and Operations Leaders – including Production Managers, Plant Managers, and Operational Managers
  • Technical and Quality Experts – such as Process Engineers, Quality Control Specialists, and Automation & Control Engineers
  • Strategic Decision-Makers – such as Project Leads and Technical Stakeholders
Key learning points
  • Implementation Strategy: Learn how to assess feasibility, avoid common pitfalls, and implement robust sampling.
  • System Design & Integration: Explore how to design and build a robust sample flow path.
  • Smart Control: Understand how to program QC checks and sequencing logic to boost confidence and reduce errors.
